In less than 7 months, we will be on our way to the General Conference Session of Seventh-Day Adventists! This is an event that only happens once every 5 years and 2015 marks the return of this session in San Antonio. We want all of our youth and adults to experience this event and be able to see and meet over 50,000 other Adventists from around the world! More than this, we also find this as a perfect time to have fun at the neighboring attractions such as Six Flags and enjoy 4th of July together as a family! Details of Trip July 3-12, 2015. UPDATE: WE ARE NOW FLYING! No more 17.5 hour bus ride. We now will get to Texas and back in less than 3 hours flying time! MZ Youth Ministries launches our BRAND NEW book club beginning November 1. The first book we will start with is "Picking Cotton." Info on how to purchase this book can be found below. Amazon offers the book for $8.89 using the kindle app or $12.34 for a new paper back. The first book club meet-up will be on Sunday December 7, 2014. More details will be given closer to the date. By this date, all readers should have completed the book and ready to have discussion on that day. Topics for Debate FNL – July 11, 2014 What’s Happening: This Friday, we will have a special edition Friday Night Live! Each team will have 2 topics to debate another team on. It is your responsibility to DEFEND your side of the argument to the best of your ability. The best ARGUMENT will win the points of the round. This means that your ARGUMENT doesn’t necessarily have to be correct during the debate (we will talk about each topic in depth at the end of debates), but you do need to defend your team’s stance in order to have a chance on winning. Each team will be given a few minutes before the debates to gather their thoughts for their round of debates. Suggestions: Do research. Use the Bible, Ellen G White, Internet, etc. to help defend your position. Think of points the other team might try to argue.
